Preparing USB disk is done on your Windows desktop computer. Below you can find similar instructions for Mac and Linux. Booting prepared USB disk is executed on your dedicated PC/music hardware, connected to your home network and Internet router by Ethernet cable.Find USB flash disk with size 16Gb or greater. Insert it in your Windows computer.Download Rufus program to create bootable USB disk.Download Euphony disk image, by selecting this link. Download takes some time (image is 1.9Gb long). Run Rufus portable program (in your Windows Download Folder find something like – “rufus-3.20p.exe” and execute this program).(in Rufus) For Device select your USB flash disk .(in Rufus) Boot section – leave “Disk or ISO image..”. All other options no need to change.(in Rufus) use SELECT button to select Euphony image (go to folder Download, select downloaded file which looks like “euphony202xxxxxv4.img.gz”. Choose OPEN button to load image into Rufus program.(in Rufus) push START button. Rufus will write Euphony image to your USB flash disk. Say OK that you want to erase your USB disk, and again OK if Rufus comments partitions on USB disk. Please notice that any data on your USB disk will be erased (for good).(Rufus) READY and green line confirms USB is written and ready to be used as booting disk on your dedicated PC/Music server.Insert the USB device into your target PC/Music server and power it on. (‘Legacy boot’ and ‘UEFI boot’ are both supported.) If USB does not have boot priority hold F2 when powering up to access the boot menu. Choose the USB device from boot menu.After the boot process is finished (first boot is longer, wait at least 4-7 minutes), your dedicated Euphony PC/music server is ready to be controlled remotely from your home network. To remotely control it use your desktop computer with web browser. You need to type or select into browser this URL: http://euphony.local.Beside your desktop computer you can also download IOS or Android apps to remotely control Euphony. Prepare your installation with MAC (OSX) NOTICE: This part of instructions pertain to generating Euphony USB boot image on a MAC computer. It does not assume what is the target machine for booting Euphony. If you target machine is also MAC please note that Euphony may not boot on some MAC computers. Newer versions of Etcher should also work with Euphony image file even if it remains in compressed form – ‘.img.gz’. Please remember to clear/format (old) USB sticks to be format MS-DOS (FAT32) so Etcher program can use it. Registration process flow The registration process requires a little back-and-forth between Euphony application, your email and online Euphony Registration site.Select ‘Registration’ from the Main Menu: Registration dialog appears.(continue here for “TRIAL” registration)Enter your name, email address and type “TRIAL” for voucher code.After you clicked ‘Register’ you should be get message on bottom of Registration dialog: “Thank you for registering! – Please check your email: [firstname.lastname@example.org] and confirm your email address.”.An email should arrive on email address you provided.Click on “Verify email” button link inside email.The Browser page on Euphony registration site should appear with message: “Thank you for registering and confirming your email! – You can check your registration in Euphony app!”.
